Favorite Restaurants in Alpharetta, Georgia

Just a list of all my favorite places to eat in Alpharetta, Georgia:

ZOLA ITALIAN RESTURANT, Hwy. 9: Absolutely the best Italian food I've had outside of Italy and NYC. Very unassuming on the outside (its located off Hwy.9 in a strip mall with Outrageous Bargains) but when you step inside you know you've found something special. A private dining room/wine room is available for parties. Everything is prepared to order so allow plenty of time to enjoy your dining experience. I would suggest making reservations, because even on week nights you may have to wait an hour!

SUSHI NAMI, Windward Pkwy.: Although one of my very good friends will disagree on this one, I think this is THE BEST SUSHI in Alpharetta {or anywhere outside the perimeter). Friendly staff, fresh fish. Creative rolls and nightly specials. Be prepared to wait for a table on Fridays and weekend nights.

SLOPES BBQ, Hwy 9: Great BBQ and reasonable prices. Love their pulled chicken and coleslaw.

SMOKEHOUSE BBQ, Hwy 9.: OK, this one is THE BEST BBQ. My boyfriend and I call it the gourmet BBQ place. Everything you could possibly want, they even have fish on the menu and its fabulous! Unique item: fried pickles--I know, but try it, you will love it!

CINCO'S MEXICAN RESTAURANT, McGuiness Ferry Rd (in the Publix Shopping Center): Not your typical Mexican restaurant. Although they have all the usual dishes, the sauces are what make everything so good. You can even watch them make the tortillas. Favorites: calimari and chicken quesadillas. Very accomodating if you have special dietary requests.

J. CHRISTOPHER'S: Great for breakfast on a Sunday morning, but gets busy. Try the Eggs Christopher, similar to eggs Benedict but better. Love the big coffee mugs.

Can't remeber the name of this last one, but its THE BEST BAGEL PLACE. On McFarland Rd. just before Union Hill (across from the Citgo station). BEST BAGELS AND LOX. Has a great selection of all the NY deli things you love. Very crowded for breakfast on the weekend, but totally worth it! Can't believe I don't know the name :)
